Background & Experience
Beverly Chesnut Foster joined NAI Norris, Beggs & Simpson in 2008 as a Senior Property Manager. She was selected as Property Manager of the Year in 2010 and advanced to Associate Vice President in 2013. Beverly has more than 20 years experience in commercial real estate, including office, retail and industrial properties, and development strategies.
Beverly has illustrated her successful management skills and leadership in guiding the evolution of complex and distressed commercial properties from foreclosure and receivership to their repositioning for sale by owners/investors. Among these are The Round, a transit-oriented PUD development on the MAX line in Beaverton, and the Design Center in downtown Portland.
Beverly’s experience in the public and private sectors of commercial real estate gives her a unique and comprehensive perspective. She managed a portfolio of retail properties throughout the West Coast for The Standard Real Estate Investors and office holdings for Grubb & Ellis. Beverly served as a property manager for the Port of Portland, focusing on the successful development of Main Street retail and business service centers at PDX International Airport.
Beverly previously provided consulting services in the Northwest and Europe with Foster Chesnut Associates LLC, which she founded. The US State Department selected her firm to direct a mission in Montenegro advancing sustainable development, and she provided entitlement services for 21,000 acres on the Columbia River. To aid emerging democracies, she also lectured and advised on real estate and management for two years at a Central European college.
