Norris, Beggs & Simpson was founded April 1, 1932, in Portland, Oregon, by A.D. Norris, and George J. Beggs, later joined by David B. Simpson and Phillip D. Miller. Beginning as property managers, our services soon expanded into mortgage lending as loan correspondents for major life insurance companies. Today those companies include G.E. Asset Management, AIG Global Investment Corp., Nationwide Life Insurance Company, John Hancock Life Insurance Company and State Farm Life Insurance Company, to name only a few. Over the years, the role of Norris, Beggs & Simpson in commercial and industrial real estate broadened into our present full-service operation.

Norris, Beggs & Simpson has played a leading role in the Western commercial real estate picture since 1932 and, to a great extent, has helped create and develop the markets we conduct business in today. We are a company with a long-standing reputation for honest, lasting and profitable relationships for all parties involved, and we have evolved through steady expansion of services to our clients.

In July of 1993, we concentrated our focus on the Northwest by purchasing from our California partners the Norris, Beggs & Simpson name, along with three operating offices. This provides our clients with the same entrepreneurial spirit and local ownership that were the very principles our founders had when starting this firm in 1932. Norris, Beggs & Simpson Northwest Limited Partnership, now our formal name, has three offices in the Northwest located in Portland, Oregon, and Vancouver and Bellevue, Washington.

The ownership of Norris, Beggs & Simpson is made up of six partners who are committed to active client involvement. Each office is managed and staffed by key decision makers, individuals whose years of knowledge and experience in a particular discipline of commercial real estate are marked by a familiarity with and commitment to their particular market of discipline. When the job calls for it, specific disciplines with partner involvement are assembled into a team to address client requests and maximize opportunities for the client.
